CAGE THE ELEPHANT – Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked – 2008 – Single review
CAGE THE ELEPHANT – Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked – 2008 – Single review
RATING: 2.5/5
According to some sources, Cage The Elephant sound like Rage Against The Machine fronted by Mick Jagger. This would actually be pretty close to the truth if Rage Against The Machine sounded like the ‘Stones (or more precisely Swedish ‘Stones copyists The Hives) and singer Matt Schultz sounded like Mick Jagger. Which they don't. And he doesn't. Also, it behooves me to add that Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked is a bit like that Tequila slammer you got cajoled into when you’d already had one too many. It seemed like a cracking idea initially but later on you just weren’t so sure.
Released June 16 on Relentless.
