BIG BOSS MAN: New album set for 2008 release

BIG BOSS MAN – New album set for 2008 release
The ‘punks of Hammond funk’ Big Boss Man - whose track Party 7 from first album Humanize featured on Nike's World Cup 2006 campaign - have recorded a new LP - their third - for provisional release sometime next year – probably early spring(take me to Full English Beat Breakfast - Press release). Speaking to Monkeyboxing Empire, bassist Scott Milsom said that all the tracks had been recorded. Mixing by Nick Terry (Ian Brown/ Klaxons) has gone well though the LP is (currently) untitled - as are most of the tracks. There is the possibility that one track that may feature Northern Soul legend Dean Parrish and the band are also considering the possibility of a female vocal collaboration. BBM's 60s style Hammond funk and mod guitars template also draws from breakbeat and boogaloo influences and they already have two previous critically acclaimed LPs (Humanize (2001) and Winner (2005)) under their belts. One to keep an eye out for then – and while you’re doing that - get hold of the other two if you haven’t already.
