Wolfmother try and sneak in a bit of action before the music-charts willingly impale themselves on the sharp end of the massive frozen turd that is novelty Christmas releases. Actually 'sneak' is not really the right word as The Joker and the Thief has more stomp than a herd of wankered Rhinos in a Bavarian Beer Hall. It's another sweaty fuzz-rock beast full of mythic riffs from the Aussie retro rockers and one of the highlights from their self-titled album. Throw out the fucking horns!

The whole album is insane. Possibly the best stuff I've heard from Oz in a long time.
